Visitation was held on Thursday, February 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Etowah (300 Tennessee Ave, Etowah, TN 37331).
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is survived by : her children, Tara Melton (Heath) and Christopher Newman her grandchildren, Sophia, Aubrey, Ethan Newman, Savannah, Olivia and Grayson 'Rooster' Melton her sisters, Helen Leaman (Terry) and Barbara Budds and her close friend Janet Tucker. She was predeceased by : her husband Virgil Newman her parents, Robert Buckner and Myrtle Buckner (Ingram) and her siblings, Gene Buckner (Linda), Colonel Buckner, Linda Faye Brogdon, Kitty Sue Aaron, Nora Nation (Buddy) and Constance 'Connie' Buckner.
